First, choose a CD player that fits with the already existing gap in your car. Next, read the owner's manual that comes along with it to get a good idea of how it works and how to go about installing it. Then, assemble your tools. For this task you will need wire cutters, wire strippers, screwdrivers and electrical tape. Before starting, disconnect the black cable from your car's battery so as to avoid getting a shock. After this, you can then take out the dashboard and your old unit. Install your new unit into the gap and connect the wires one by one. If there is a wiring harness though, you can opt to use another harness for your new unit and connect them all one go.
Next, connect each wire for every speaker and connect the ground to a metal connection that is found on the back of your new unit. Then, connect the power fires to your new CD player. Finally, plug your car battery back in and test it. If it works, install it fully into the slot and screw it in firmly. You can now enjoy playing your favourite CDs in your new car CD player.
